Church History: The Early Church and Ecumenical Councils

The period of Church history immediately following the Apostolic age was crucial both in the development of the conceptual basis for Christian doctrine and in the formation of rationale against heresy.

This class will examine the development of the Church from the close of Acts to about 500 A. D., concentrating on the formation of Christian theology, the great thinkers of the Patristic era, and the Ecumenical Councils.
Classes meet bi-monthly on Thursdays from 1:30-3 p.m.:
