Roberta Sue Peterson, a long-time Associate received from the Western Province, died in Winfield, Illinois, on May 15, 2002 after a long illness. She was a retired nurse.

Virginia Hattersley, an Associate since 1972, died in Sarasota, Florida on June 27, 2002.

Dorothy Agard, a gentle and caring Associate since 1984, died July 10, 2002 after a long illness. The Community is particularly grateful to her opening her home to Sister Mary Hope in her transition to the Southern Province in the late 1980s.

Hazel Regan, a long time member of St. Mary’s Parish, Scarborough and frequent retreatant at Peekskill, became an Associate in 1992 and died after a fall at home on July 13, 2002. We will miss her cheerful and prayerful fellowship at our “talking” Sunday suppers.

Claudette Singler, Associate since 1996 and daughter-in-law of longtime resident Associate Mildred Singler, died August 29, 2002 after a year’s battle with cancer. Claudie’s generous and cheerful love of animals and nature will be missed here. She gave so much of herself to us and to all in many thoughtful ways.
