A group of parishioners from Trinity Church in Watervliet, NY, came with their rector, Father Martin Wendell, to meet us and see the Convent on October 27. Having participated in a Quiet Day at the Graymoor Friary in Garrison, they took the opportunity while in the neighborhood to see the Sisters who will be moving to their Diocese.

Sister Anne Norman, SSJD, spent several days’ retreat with us in October in preparation for her life profession in the Sisterhood of St. John the Divine, Toronto, on All Saints’ Day.

Sister Mary Francis returned home to the convent on October 18, having spent several months recovering from surgery and undergoing physical therapy at Treetops Nursing Facility.

Sister Anastasia returned to the convent from the nursing home with more enthusiasm than energy. She gleefully said good-bye to all the nursing home staff on the morning of November 27, and kept repeating “and I didn’t have to wait until 3:30 to go home!” However, she was hospitalized again on December 8 for more corrective surgery. Presently, she is recuperating in the Infirmary at home.
