Father Roy Hatcher has been quite ill and has resigned as rector of his Newfoundland parish.

Father Thomas Mercer has accepted a position of Interim Rector of St. Paul’s Parish in the Bronx. A dedicated friend to the Sisters and a teacher of weekly Bible classes to our Novitiate, we are pleased with his new connection to long-time friends in the Bronx. His new address is 489 St. Paul’s Place, Bronx, NY 10456.

New Associates:

Mrs. John (Tammy) Boyd was received at the Convent on November 17, 2002, by Father Hayes. She is an active member of Calvary Church, Burnt Hills, and a teacher. Her address is 43 Charlton Road #45, Ballston Spa, NY 12020.

Iris Pearce was received as an Associate on Sunday, February 16, 2003, by Father David Allen at St. Francis Church in Dallas, Texas. A psychotherapist working with cancer patients and a practicing spiritual director, Iris was on the original teams which adapted Cursillo and Happening for use in the Episcopal Church. She works extensively with the Episcopal Center for Renewal in the Dioceses of Dallas and Fort Worth, directing their nine-month School of Spirituality, conducting workshops, and training spiritual directors and prayer teams.

Her materials have had a broad appeal and are used by Anglican, Roman Catholic, Lutheran, Presbyterian and Bible Church groups. Her published works, Healing through Christ and Every Child a Winner, are being translated and adapted for use by churches in Africa and South America. A grandmother of thirteen, Iris lives with her husband Ray at 7703 Applecross Lane, Dallas, TX 75248.
