We recently received word of the death of Mary Bechtel on September 5, 2002. She was received as an Associate in Peekskill in 1960 and was a member of St. Stephen's Church Mullica Hill, New Jersey.

Mrs. Frances Dobbs entered into rest on February 14, 2003. She was a longtime member of Church of the Redeemer, Biloxi, and had retired to Avon, Connecticut to be near her daughter.

Our faithful chief groundsman Terry Westfall died February 20, 2003, after a very short illness. Terry lived in Peekskill all his life and had worked for us since 1979, along with numerous members of his family. Terry was a dedicated volunteer fireman, and we were always grateful for his service in this capacity. The Sisters saw his occasional taking time our of the day's work schedule to offer emergency service in town as a way of giving back to the local community.
      He is survived by his wife Fran, who still lives on the grounds and has a life tenancy in their home when we leave. We will miss his cheerful help around the house. We were “his Sisters” all around Peekskill, and he, our “big Brother.” We called him “Uncle Terry.”
