Sutton Smith presented a paper in February on St. Basil of Ceasarea and his ecclesiology to a local meeting of SEAD, the Scholarly Engagement with Anglican Doctrine. A lively discussion followed, as Basil deals with a number of issues of great contemporary interest, such as the proper way for both clergy and laity to respond to openly heretical teaching. Sr. Mary Jean and Sutton’s husband, Father Elton Smith (also our Associate) attended that meeting. The Smiths are rejoicing over the birth of their daughter, Grafton Elizabeth, on May 1. Our Associates Bill and Sue Taylor moved from St. Gabriel’s House this month. Their new address is 85 Coachlight Square, Montrose, NY 10548.
