Associates’ News

The Rev. Dr. Christopher Brown, rector of Trinity Church, Potsdam, was received as a priest Associate by Father Dennis Pressley on November 18, 2004. Father Brown has been giving the Sisters a monthly class on doctrinal theology based on the Creeds.

Our Sisters in Luwinga tell us that we have two new Malawian Associates—Mr. Sebastian Sumane and Father John Edward Wellano. Mr. Sumane is the Diocese of Northern Malawi’s Projects Manager and has been instrumental in building the Luwinga Convent to budget. Fr. Wellano is Sr. Esther Ernestina’s uncle and our postulant Gertrude’s parish priest.

Mrs. June Jaquith of St. George’s Parish, Ardmore, PA, was received by our Associate Father William Duffey, on Sunday, Feb. 13, during the Sunday Mass at her parish. June first met the Sisters four years ago when she and another parishioner drove a lame Mother Miriam (post-foot surgery) to Ardmore to give one of the parish’s annual Lenten Quiet Days. She is the Assistant Director of the Children’s Ark at St. George’s.
