Our dedication is lived out in ways as diverse as our personalities and gifts, but what we have in common is the desire for contemplative lives, witnessing to God’s love in prayer and worship, and serving God’s people and the larger world.

A Place of Sanctuary

Our ministries have changed many times over the years, but our current call is the same as it was over a hundred years ago — to offer sanctuary for people who need healing and growth of their spirit, and chance for them to immerse themselves in prayer and God's love.

Outreach

We continue to serve on the boards of St. Mary’s Healthcare System and the St. Mary’s Foundation for Children. Both organizations grew from the Sisters’ dedication to family-centered care, serving children who have special health needs.

Currently we’re training novices from Malawi, south central Africa. In addition to the usual novitiate studies, they’re learning skills that will prepare them to be self-supporting when they return home.Three junior Sisters have established a conventual presence in the provincial capital, Mzuzu.
